The marathon will start at 7 a.m. around Main and First Streets in downtown Belleville, and course support will be available until 2 p.m. The course includes a portion of America’s longest Main Street, among other streets, and a paved trail.
Packet pickup will take place Friday, September 28 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Toolen’s Running Start, 3260 Green Mount Crossing Drive, Shiloh, IL 62269.
Late Packet Pickup and Registration
Packet pickup and on-site race-day registration will be available near the start/finish line around south 1st and Main streets from 5:30 to 6:30 a.m. on race morning.
Water and lemon-lime Gatorade will be available approximately every 1 to 2 miles.
Porta-potties/restrooms will be located at the start/finish line area and near all water stations.
GU stations will be located near miles 12, 18, and 21.
Medical officials are prepared to treat injuries that may occur during this event. St. Elizabeth’s Hospital is providing a medical tent and personnel at the start/finish line area and on the course. In addition, medical personnel will be located throughout the course. A recovery tent also will be located at the finish line.
All participants/volunteers/spectators are strongly encouraged to park in the FREE St. Clair County parking garage, located at 1 Lincoln Street and conveniently very close to the start/finish line. The garage will be monitored periodically by race officials.
All race finishers will receive a medal at the finish line. Awards for the top 3 male and female, male and female Master’s, and male and female wheelchair finishers will be presented at 12 p.m. in the marathon plaza area just east of the finish line. Age group awards will be presented around 2 p.m. in the marathon plaza area. Awards will not be mailed but can be picked up at Toolen’s Running Start after October 3.
After the race, hang around, relax, refuel, and celebrate your finish with award-winning, nationally acclaimed barbecue and fixins’ donated by Belleville’s very own BEAST Craft BBQ, and Michelob Ultra, donated by Belleville’s Grey Eagle Distributors. Yum!
The Streaker Award
Make the Belleville Main Street Marathon a tradition! All finishers who run the Belleville Marathon for consecutive years will be recognized with our commemorative Streaker Award. You must be fully clothed to receive this honor, which will be presented upon race completion at a marked table in the marathon plaza area just east of the finish line.
